oh, did we mention you have until march 11 to save web radio?

net radio just got a whole lot geekier. now you can listen to a robot voice reading linux code out loud in glorious streaming audio. and they’re not snobby about it either; windows and mac os x users can listen with standard mp3 players and a plugin. ok so you’re never going to want to hear what sounds like steven hawking going “…eight dot three four six minus a dash greater than c zero wb zero yn dot…” but do read the comments that have accumulated since its launch on feb. 3rd.
or for real music, charlie’s thursday morning show on wfmu has a live playlist so you can follow along, just like when you had that thumbelina book that came with its own record.

despite jeers from rod and the playlist gang, you can’t not see the new bjork vid for 'cocoon' (quicktime). this time she’s even more naked than 'pagan poetry,' as in full frontal. done by the costume designer for bram stoker’s dracula (that would explain the hair). they think she looks like an alien. they would rather go back to the days of bjork robot porn (windows movie) perhaps? 'cocoon' single released march 11 for those keeping track.
mac in black. apologies to mac users and anyone else who is getting ugly black backgrounds in the calendars. that’s what i get for doing all my work in the office on the pc instead of at home on tangie. i’m working on it, but this compatibility stuff is hard! i’ll take the fact that no one reported it to mean that no one uses macs these days. you people make me ill.

you've probably seen a lot of flags lately, especially if you've been watching the olympics or live in the us of a. but here's one i'd be proud to fly, if i could get my monitor up a flagpole. it's the flag of the internet, and since it's interactive, it changes about once every four minutes. now there's a symbol of freedom for you.
