no frames i failed to mention that the frames shows listed on the colander were cancelled due to the death of a close friend of the band. we are very sorry to hear that.
mates of state will be coming round again to support their new album 'our constant concern' coming out next month. meantime, download 'hoarding it for home' from said upcoming release from polyvinyl. yes, it seems to be all about the alliteration this time for our dynamic duo.

read The Owl and the Pussycat Assassinate the EuroFeds by Edward "Deadbeef" Lear, the winner of metamute's literary contest in celebration of Jam Echelon Day (21 October). echelon is a super double dog secret surveillance system capable of intercepting our communication based on certain keywords. the idea was that intentionally flooding the internet with these keywords would confuse the machine that tracks them. see also non-winner Jaka Zeleznikar's entry, Poem for Echelon, because i like it.
